Import Repayments, Savings and Shares

The loan Importations feature is used when adding loan transactions e.g. Loan applications, Loan approvals, Loan disbursements and Loan repayments from a different file format into Loan Performer. These loan transactions include loan applications, approvals, disbursements and repayments. Each of these importations has a unique importation template of the various fields that should be imported.

"Import Repayments, Savings and Shares" template allows a user to import Import Repayments, Savings and Shares information using a single template got from the Loan Performer installation directory under C:\LPF817\External Files\Import English and it looks like the one below:

• The information you intend to import should be transferable / converted to the formats of dBase, Microsoft Excel or Tab delimited text files to make it possible to import into Loan performer.

How to Import Repayments, Savings and Shares

To Import Repayments, Savings and Shares go to Loans/Loan Importations/ Import Repayments, Savings and Shares and the following screen appears:

• Files of type: Specify the import file type in the files of type: box, e.g., "Microsoft Excel File".
• Import file: Specify the filename and full path to the file that should be imported in the Import file: box. Alternatively click on the Choose command button to select the file from a specified location.
• Error File: Specify the name of the file to which errors will be written (usually Repaymen.txt).
• Import file format: This scroll window lists the various file fields and their properties e.g by name Type Width and Decimals.
• Imported Files: This scroll window lists all previously imported files if they were not cleared or reset .
• Import: Click on the Import command button to import the repayments, savings and shares transactions.
• Reset: When you click on this command button, the imported file log will be cleared
• Repayment priorities modifiable: Select the appropriate button of what you would want to do with repayment priorities. This is what would normally be done under System /Configuration/Loans
• View: This button opens the selected import file within its corresponding application
• Cancel: Closes the Import Loan Repayments dialog.
